He qualified MBChB from the University of Bristol in 1995, after which he worked across the South West of England before embarking on a dedicated period of research at Northwick Park Hospital. There he developed his clinical skills in stress and contrast perfusion echocardiography. He has presented his work at national and international meetings and has published original research in a number of peer reviewed journals. After gaining his MD, he returned to the South West of England where he completed his specialist training in cardiology with sub-speciality interests in echocardiography and heart failure.
