Dr Dalvinder Mandair

Dr Dalvinder Mandair was appointed as a Consultant in Gastroenterology and Neuroendocrine Tumour Units at the Royal Free Hospital in 2016.  He believes in a patient centred and evidence based approach to medicine.

He graduated from the Royal Free and University College medical school in 2002 having completed a BSc at University College Hospital in 1998.  During his training, he completed a higher research degree MD(Res) with his thesis ‘Biomarkers in the pathogenesis of neuroendocrine tumours.’  

He is a principal and sub-investigator for several clinical trials. Dalvinder has published in many peer reviewed journals and regularly presents his work at international conferences.

Dalvinder is also a supervisor for MSc and PhD students as part of University College London. 

He previously served at the chair of the UKINETS education committee from 2019-2022

Clinical interests


Dalvinder’s main interests other than general gastroenterology and neuroendocrine tumours include diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, gastro-oesophageal reflux, dysphagia, functional bowel disorders and inflammatory bowel disease. He also has an interest in gastro-intestinal consequences of cancer and its treatment.

Research interests


His research interests include the molecular profiling of fibrosis in midgut NETS, endoscopic management and surveillance of GI NETS and predictors of recurrence in NETS
