Consultant In Colorectal And General Surgery
Mr Suliman completed his higher surgical training at the North East Thames rotation through University College, the Royal Free and the Royal London Hospitals. He then completed three fellowships in Sydney, the Royal Marsden and the Royal London Hospitals before taking his consultant post at the Royal Free London, Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust.
He is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon with a specialist interest in minimally invasive surgery. His practice includes colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and proctology as well as elective and emergency general surgery.
His research at University College London and the Babraham Institute in Cambridge focused on novel ways in bowel cancer screening and was published which presented his findings.
Clinically, he chairs the colorectal cancer MDT and has a special interest in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery. His colorectal fellowships in laparoscopic, robotic, pelvic floor and exenterative surgery have served to bring this experience to his clinical practice.
Locally, he is the governance and audit lead and takes pleasure in fulfilling management duties. He is an examiner at UCL Medical School and enjoys teaching junior surgeons.
